Have your say about proposed changes to disability benefits

Inclusion Gloucestershire and Barnwood Trust are making a response to the Government’s benefits proposals.
Below are ways to add your views.
What’s happening?
The Government want to change the way benefits work. This could mean some disabled people lose some, or all, of their benefits. This won’t happen yet. First, they want disabled people to feedback on their plans.
What are we doing?
Inclusion Gloucestershire and Barnwood Trust think the proposals will make things harder for disabled people if they happen. We also think the feedback questions the Government is asking are long.
We have co-created 5 questions with a group of disabled people. You will be able to answer these questions below.
When we have heard people’s answers, we will work together to write a response for the Government, so that Gloucestershire people’s views are heard.
What can you do?
You can get involved in 3 ways:
- Fill in this survey for individuals or this form for focus group responses.
- Run a focus group with the questions we have co-produced.
- Respond directly to the Government. Find out more about the different ways you can do this here. You can fill in their online form here.
Our survey will be open until Friday 30 May the Government consultation is open until 30 June 2025
We will share what we have found on this page in June.
You can view a BSL version of the questions here. An Easy Read version is coming soon.
