Meet our Trustees

Our board of trustees consist of 12 trustees and 3 co-opted trustees. Co-opted trustees are non-voting members of the board, who provide invaluable insight to the board.

Amongst the trustees we have a Chair, a Deputy Chair and a Treasurer.

Alisha (Chair)

Hello, my name is Alisha and I have been involved with Inclusion Gloucestershire since it formed in 2016.

Prior to that I was a trustee for PING. I was elected as Chair on the Board of Trustees at the start of 2021. I am very proud to be a part of this wonderful organisation, from the hard-working staff, trustees and all the great members; it’s fantastic to see IG grow and it’s an honour to be a part of this journey.

Outside of volunteering I enjoy spending time with family and friends, travelling and doing yoga – I found the latter particularly beneficial during lockdown!

    Andrew ( Deputy Chair)

Andrew Cotterill, involved with Inclusion Gloucestershire since early 2019.

Previous to this I have been a trustee for Carers Gloucestershire and the South Cotswolds RSPCA.

I was diagnosed autistic a small number of years ago and found this beneficial for enabling me to further understand about myself and better understand strategies that are useful to me to overcome barriers.

My working career was in GCHQ as a research technologist originally and carrying out a variety of organisational leadership roles including involvement in various change programme management activities and also led research and business change organisations.

I bring in my own experience of:

      • Autism and knowledge of the various neurodevelopment disorders
      • Experience as a trustee from a range of charities
      • A variety of skills of the running of large organisation and change work

I currently co-chair the Gloucestershire Autism partnership board.

I really appreciate the inclusive nature of Inclusion Gloucestershire and the passion within of all those who contribute in enabling fulfilling lives for the range of people who have impairments who face disabling barriers.

Outside volunteering as a trustee I enjoy a very eclectic range of interests such as archery, climbing, walking in the countryside, table tennis, running, travel, nature photography, developments in science and technology, music et cetera!

      Denise

Hi I’m Denise and I have been a trustee for Inclusion Gloucestershire since 2017.

One of my favourite things about Inclusion Gloucestershire is getting to know the people that just show the world they have no limitations.

Outside of volunteering as a trustee I am a Grandmother, I enjoy spending time with my guinea pig, I like being creative and appreciate outdoor nature.

I bring experience to this role as I have borderline personality disorder for 15 years. I have learnt to accept the challenges of it and have been inspired to give back and initiate change with involvement in co-production projects to challenge the mental health system.

        Greg

Greg joined the Board in January 2022 – more coming soon!

          Jenny

My name is Jenny Hincks and I live in Cirencester with my husband and I am very lucky to have my family living near.

I worked in Cirencester hospital for nearly 20 years, I am a carer, a town councillor and trustee of several charities.

I  became a board member  as I believe in the work Inclusion Gloucestershire does and I want to ensure that the services provided are, and continue to be the best for the community it serves.

            Joelle

Hi, I’m Joelle and I have been a trustee for Inclusion Gloucestershire since 2016.

One of my favourite things about Inclusion Gloucestershire is actually volunteering there and being part of an amazing team. Outside of volunteering as a trustee I like to do jigsaws, watch TV, and see my family.

I bring experience of living with PWS which is Prader Willi Syndrome, and making people aware of it and how they should be supported. I do not feel that I am disabled, I just have to live with a condition which with the right support I can manage and enjoy my life to the full.

            Kevin Elliott

Kevin is our Treasurer and brings insightful experience from his career in the NHS.

            Paul Cullen

Hi! I’m Paul Cullen and I have been a trustee for Inclusion Gloucestershire since 2019.

Some of my favourite things about Inclusion Gloucestershire are the team working, communication and, as it says on the tin, the true inclusion of people with lived and living experience of health problems.

Outside of volunteering as a trustee I like to watch most sports, cook, listen to music and go to live music. I bring experience from different sides of the health spectrum, having had serious mood difficulties as well as having practised in Mental Health as a psychiatrist in the NHS for 31 years.

            Paul Yeatman

Hi, I‘m Paul Yeatman and I have been a Trustee for Inclusion Gloucestershire for some 4 years. I have lived in Gloucestershire my whole life and previously served 30 years as a Police Officer. I am also the current Independent Chair of Gloucestershire Safeguarding Adults Board whose role is to promote the health and well-being of adults with care and support needs.

I am proud to serve as a Trustee of Inclusion Gloucestershire as the charity makes a real difference to the lives of individuals of all ages and all disabilities. I bring a lot of experience having worked at an operational and strategic level for many years in Gloucestershire, in Safeguarding and in partnership working.

Outside of volunteering as a Trustee, I am a keen Triathlete and Treasurer of the local Triathlon Club, Tri Team Glos. I have completed Triathlons in many countries around the world and enjoy the training. I am also a season ticket holder at Gloucester Rugby Club.

            Rebecca

Rebecca (Becky) joined the Board in January 2022 – more coming soon!

            Rich

My first venture into supporting disabled people was whilst I was at college and got elected as the student advocacy officer. Since then I have grown my experience and developed a passion for making a positive contribution overcoming the inequalities many of us face, in different walks of life.

I have been a trustee of Inclusion Gloucestershire since the creation in 2016 and have previously held the position of Chair.

The experience I believe I bring to the board is being a critical eye and enjoying visionary thinking.
