Summary of the Role

We’re seeking a Travel Trainer with lived experience of disability, whether physical, learning, or related to mental health, who feels confident using public transport and finds fulfilment in empowering others to travel independently. This role sits within the Engagement team to develop and support the delivery of the Inclusion Gloucestershire’s Travel Training project.

You will be working alongside our Travel Training Co-ordinator, three Travel Training project workers and the Travel Training Manager. Our travel training scheme has been designed to support people to have greater confidence in using public transport. Travel training is tailored 1-to-1 practical support to Gloucestershire residents aged 18+ who identify as disabled or experience barriers due to a health condition to learn specific journeys with a travel trainer who will accompany the person on public transport until they are confident to travel alone.

 

Hours and Pay

Hours are flexible, but it is likely that there will be at least 1-5 hours per week

Contract type:        Zero hours

Hourly Rate:          12.79 per hour

Start Date:              As soon as possible

Holiday:                28 days + bank holidays pro rata (for zero hours roles the equivalent allowance is paid per hour worked)
